Swimming with Spinner Dolphins Retreat in Sataya, Egypt – Red Sea Dolphin Encounters
A Transformational Dolphin Retreat in the Red Sea
April 4-11, 2026
with Jan Lemuri & Anníka Omkaram
Swim with hundreds of wild spinner dolphins in the luminous turquoise waters of Sataya Reef in the Red Sea — a natural sanctuary where dolphins gather, rest, play, and invite us into their world of joy, intelligence, and effortless presence.
Each morning and afternoon we gently enter the water as guests in their temple, allowing the dolphins to approach in their own rhythm. And approach they do... Sometimes they glide close in silence, sometimes they spiral in playful choreography, sometimes they simply rest in our field. There is no agenda, no performance — only a living communion that softens the nervous system, opens the heart, and awakens a deep remembering of what it means to be alive, innocent, and connected.
Many participants describe a sense of melting into the collective heart of the pod — a field of unconditional joy that dissolves old tensions, emotional armor, and mental noise. Laughter arises naturally. Tears of gratitude flow without explanation. Something ancient and tender begins to breathe again inside the body.
Supported by sacred circles, Dolphin Bodywork™, sound activation, and spacious integration, this retreat becomes a gentle yet powerful initiation into embodied joy, presence, and soul remembrance.

Why Sataya Reef is so Special
A Natural Dolphin Sanctuary in the Red Sea

Sataya is often called a living temple in the sea. Protected by coral reefs and blessed with calm crystalline waters, it offers a rare sanctuary where large pods of spinner dolphins gather naturally in safety and ease.

Here, the dolphins are not rushing, not fleeing, not performing. They rest, dream, socialize, nurse their young, and play — inviting us into a rhythm that is far slower, softer, and more coherent than modern human life. When we float quietly in their presence, something inside us begins to reorganize. Breath deepens. The heart opens. The mind relaxes its grip.
The soft murmuring sounds you sometimes hear beneath the water feel like whispers of love moving through liquid light. And then suddenly — laughter, spirals, eye contact, games, joy. The dolphins remind us how natural happiness truly is.

Dolphin Bodywork™ – Embodied Joy & Living Intelligence
The Sirian Protocol · Pathways of Joy · 7 Sacred Dolphin Points
Dolphin Bodywork™ is not a technique in the traditional sense. It is a living dialogue between human nervous system, dolphin consciousness, and the intelligent field of joy that naturally restores coherence.
Through movement, breath, sound, gentle touch, and subtle presence, the body remembers how to soften, open, and trust life again. Many participants experience spontaneous emotional release, renewed vitality, creative clarity, and a deep sense of being “at home” in themselves.
The Sirian Protocol works like a sacred choreography of light, gently opening energetic centers and releasing emotional compression.
Pathways of Joy awakens subtle energetic rivers within the body — restoring pleasure, playfulness, and organic flow.
The 7 Sacred Dolphin Points invite the embodiment of dolphin qualities: curiosity, breath, beauty, telepathy, multidimensional awareness, joy, and Gaia connection.
Rather than fixing anything, this work simply allows what is already alive within you to breathe again.

The Song of the Soul – Voice, Essence & Remembrance
Reclaiming the Voice of Your Soul and Inner Truth
Long before words, we knew ourselves as vibration, tone, and resonance. Each soul carries a unique melody — a living signature of essence, purpose, and remembrance.
In the safety of sacred circle, breath, sound, and gentle witnessing, the voice begins to relax its defenses. Sometimes a whisper emerges. Sometimes a tone. Sometimes tears, laughter, or silence. There is no performance here — only the honest unveiling of what has always been singing inside you.
When the Song of the Soul is remembered, choices become clearer, joy becomes simpler, and life begins to flow with greater authenticity and ease.

Meet Your Hosts
Jan Lemuri & Annika Omkaram

We feel deeply grateful to offer this retreat as a living field of healing, joy, and remembrance. Our work arises through listening — to the dolphins, to Gaia, and to what wants to emerge naturally within each group.
It is always humbling to witness how intelligence moves far beyond our personal ideas, creating exactly the experiences each participant needs for their next unfolding.
If something in these words touches you, we warmly invite you to feel into whether this journey is calling you. And if you’d like to get to know us a little more — our story, our path, and how we walk this work together — you’re very welcome to visit the Meet the Team tab.
With Love,
Jan & Annika

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Sataya Dolphin Retreat
Is swimming with dolphins in Sataya ethical and respectful?
Yes. Our encounters in Sataya follow strict ethical guidelines and local regulations designed to protect the dolphins and their natural behavior. We enter the water calmly, move gently, and allow the dolphins to choose whether they wish to approach or interact. There is no chasing, touching, or forcing of contact.
These dolphins live freely in their natural habitat and meet humans out of curiosity and playfulness. The well-being of the pod always comes first. Our intention is reverence, presence, and mutual respect — not entertainment.
What is the experience of swimming with spinner dolphins like?
Sataya is home to large pods of wild spinner dolphins who often rest, socialize, and play in the lagoon. When conditions are right, we enter the water quietly and float or snorkel while the dolphins swim around and through the group.
Many participants experience moments of deep peace, joy, heart opening, and spontaneous emotional release. The dolphins often mirror coherence, playfulness, and presence, creating a naturally regulating and uplifting field.
Every encounter is different — guided by the dolphins themselves.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer or have snorkeling experience?
Basic comfort in the water is helpful, but you do not need to be an advanced swimmer. We mostly float calmly on the surface using snorkel gear and flotation support if needed.
Professional guides are always present to support safety and orientation. You are welcome to participate at your own pace and rest whenever you feel called.
What is Dolphin Bodywork™ and the Sirian Protocol?
Dolphin Bodywork™ is a living modality developed by Jan Lemuri and Annika Omkaram that integrates movement, touch, sound, breath, and presence to awaken joy, coherence, and embodied awareness.
The Sirian Protocol works with subtle energy centers to gently release emotional blockages and restore natural flow within the nervous system and heart field. These practices support integration of the dolphin encounters and deepen the embodiment of clarity, joy, and inner alignment.
No prior experience is needed.
What should I pack for a liveaboard dolphin retreat in the Red Sea?
We recommend:
-
Light clothing and swimwear
-
Sun protection (hat, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses)
-
A light jacket or sweater for evenings
-
Flip-flops or boat shoes
-
Reef-safe snorkeling gear (optional if you prefer your own)
-
Seasickness medication if you are sensitive
-
Journal for reflection
-
Reusable water bottle
Detailed packing guidance will be shared after registration.
Do I need a visa to travel to Egypt?
Most travelers obtain a tourist visa on arrival at the airport in Egypt (approximately €25, subject to change). Requirements can vary by nationality, so we recommend checking with your local embassy or airline prior to travel.
Is this retreat suitable for beginners in meditation or spiritual work?
Yes. All practices are guided gently and inclusively. You do not need any prior spiritual or meditation experience. Many participants arrive simply with curiosity and an open heart. The retreat naturally meets each person where they are.
What happens if weather or sea conditions change the schedule?
Nature always leads. In rare cases, ocean conditions may require adjustments to the daily schedule for safety and respect of the environment. Any changes are made thoughtfully to preserve the quality and integrity of the retreat experience.
What is the difference between swimming with wild dolphins versus captive dolphins?
The difference is profound — ethically, energetically, and spiritually.
In captive dolphin facilities, dolphins are confined to artificial environments, separated from their natural social structures, migration patterns, hunting behaviors, and oceanic intelligence fields. Even when well cared for, captivity fundamentally limits their freedom, agency, and natural expression.
We do not support or participate in any form of captive dolphin interaction.
In Sataya, we meet dolphins in their natural ocean home, entirely on their terms. The dolphins are free to approach, engage, play, ignore us, or swim away at any moment.
There is no training, feeding, touching, or performance involved.
This creates a completely different quality of encounter — one rooted in mutual choice, respect, curiosity, and genuine interspecies communication rather than control or entertainment.
Many participants feel a deep sense of reverence, humility, and gratitude when meeting dolphins this way. The encounter becomes a relationship rather than an activity.
Is swimming with dolphins regulated and legal in Sataya?
Yes. Sataya Reef is a protected marine area, and dolphin encounters are regulated by local authorities to protect the dolphins and their habitat.
Licensed guides and boats follow strict protocols regarding group size, entry timing, respectful distance, and behavior in the water. These regulations exist to ensure that the dolphins are not stressed or disturbed and that their natural rhythms are honored.
We work only with experienced local operators who prioritize conservation, respect, and long-term protection of the pod.
