MEET THE HUMPBACK WHALES
Welcome to the living room of one of the most powerful and sacred beings on this planet, the humpback whales.
We enter their space like entering a temple, with deep honor, respect, gratitude and love.
Every meeting is different, expect the unexpected, witness their majesty in awe.
Sometimes the meeting happens in one short moment, other times we can stay with them for hours.
POTENTIAL INTERACTIONS:

Floating on the surface and listening to males singing down bellow, their songs permeating every cell of our bodies.

THE EYE OF LOVE
This momma decided to gift us a moment from beyond. As she came for air, from 20m away she looked at us ... and chose to approach!
Closer and closer, her big giant head, baby playfully hiding behind her. So close that her eye was right there, looking at us with such warmth, such radiance, such presence ... It's hard to describe the feeling. Time stops. The eye becomes a field, and suddenly, you're swimming inside that field. You are enveloped in love. For a moment, your human self melts and all that is left is just pure presence, bathing in this warmth of motherly love.
WHALE RIDER
How close is too close? A curious teenage whale swam straight towards us, and as she was coming to me, a question arose, will she bump into me? And I said, “No, I stay, I trust.” She swam so close I could touch her if I wanted to … Her pectoral fin extending way past me under my fins. Her eye turning to keep looking up at me.
As I looked down at her body, I realized, “I am on top of a whale!” Whale rider energy came rushing in, all of my cells aligning to that sensation. But I didn’t climb on her, she picked me up!
Feel the energy of the whale rider – we all can be carried by the presence of the whales!
WORLDS COLLIDING: Singer, baby and mama
It was the most unusual moment. Most amazingly, beautifully, perfectly unusual.
Usually, the singer whale hangs out by himself, taking a deep breath, turning his head down and singing for 15 minutes. You can swim above him and soak in the sounds.
Usually, mama and baby hang out on their own, resting deep down and the calf coming up for air, sometimes curiously interacting with us.
But this swim was special. While in the water with mama and baby, a male joined in. His song started, and the mother chose to stay. So here we were, swimming above mama, baby coming to curiously interact while we were soaking up the song of the whale.
Unusually amazing, beautiful and perfect. So grateful!

Moorea is the embodiment of the great Mother. You can feel her powerful compassionate love enveloping you as soon as you arrive, and every rock, plant, and living being is part of that love.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
From the joy of being with the whales daily to finding the most sacred powerspots on the land, our intetion is to reconnect to the deepest parts of our Soul - and experience that reflection in everything Moorea is!
WHALE SWIMS
Our schedule is organized around 5 whale swims. We will head out of the lagoon for 3-4 hours at the time. Every interaction is different, dependent on whale behavior
IMPORTANT: You will need to swim 100m to get to the whales.
BEACH
From our beautiful private "home beach" to different spots around the island, Moorea will spoil us with her warm turquoise lagoon waters. We will balance boat time and inner work with fun and integration time - loving life.
HIKES
We will have two adventure days, exploring valleys and sacred portals deep within the heart of Moorea: Three Coconuts Pass with amazing views of the whole island and Afareaitu waterfall with gateways to Inner Earth.
LAGOON
There are many special spots inside the lagoon only reachable by boat. When we will have extra time after whale swims we will go touch the stingrays, swim with turtles, snorkel above underwater "tikis" (statues) and explore the reef.
SACRED CIRCLE
Through shared intentions and visions, we co-create the "human pod's" collective heart. Sharing, meditations, shamanic work, sacred ceremonies, and sound healing. Diving deep with whales comes with deep inner work.

OUR MAGICAL ACCOMMODATIONS
Two deep bays on the North side of Moorea create a breath-taking natural scenery where the lagoon is surrounded by lush green mountains and you can see all the way into the heart of the island. We are absolutely blessed to be able to stay right on the water in Cook's bay, in a luxurious 5-bedroom villa with our own private beach and a pier stretching out into the bay. Views to die for! Snorkeling right off our pier! Stingrays and colorful fish! Kayaks and SUPs and bikes. Lots of space to relax and meditate and ground! Absolute heaven!

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
FLIGHTS
Look for flights to Papeete, Tahiti.
Best connections: direct flights from San Francisco (SFO) and Los Angeles (LAX), from Europe look for connections through Paris or SFO and LAX. (low-cost option from Paris and San Francisco: French Bee https://www.frenchbee.com/)
From Tahiti you can either take a local flight to Moorea or hop on a ferry.
IMPORTANT: Please look for flights arriving on September 30th or in the morning of October 1st... the flight arriving at 7pm on October 1st misses the last ferry connection (5.30pm.)
FERRY TAHITI - MOOREA
There's two ferry companies that connect Tahiti with Moorea.
It's a quick island hop and the ride takes 30-45min.
Ferry dock is 4 miles, 10 min ride from the airport. Taxi cost is around $15-$20.

PICK UP AND DROP OFF AT THE HARBOR IN MOOREA
We will either have a taxi waiting for you or we will come ourselves to pick you up.
TRANSPORTATION
We will have a couple of cars or minivans to transport us around the island and to all of our activities.
MONEY
Local currency is CFP Franc and the exchange rate is around 110 CFP Francs for $1 (American Dollar) and around 115 CFP Francs for 1eur (EURO). You can exchange money at the airport or just get your cash from ATM upon arrival.
FOOD AND COOKING
Each person prepares their own meals. There are restaurants and a grocery store walking distance (we have bikes too!) The house has a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your meals.
SNORKELING AND SWIMMING
You need to know how to swim to attend this retreat (unless you are choosing Option 4 - Whalewatching,) and it is highly recommended you practice snorkeling/swimming with fins before arrival. All the whale-swimming is done in a group that stays together and follows the local guide who also has a lifeguard floaty (rescue buoy) that you can rest on if needed. Wetsuit recommended. Water temp around 25C (77F.)
IMPORTANT:
1. We will need to swim at least 100m to get to the whales.
2. We will swim in deep, open ocean, mostly not seeing the bottom.
3. The ocean is mostly calm, but weather is unpredictable, we might get a day or two of higher waves and rocky seas.
SUN
Sunscreen, sun hat, rash-guard, and whatever else you need to stay protected.
BUGS
Moorea is a tropical paradise that comes with mosquitos :) The breeze usually keeps them away on the beach, but make sure you bring some repellent for the evenings.
LANGUAGE
Main language in French Polynesia is French, but English is understood by many locals.
